Default What's your longest ride?

Trying to convince a buddy of mine to make the grueling ride from Southeast Iowa to Milwaukee to take the steel toe tour and classic bike event. Also, we're both riding 48s, the worst bike to take the trip on. Anyone have any stories on pushing that 2.2 gallon tank, and their rear end to their limit?

San Diego to Indiana no gas Guage no extra fuel no dummy lights. 85mph all day on a strutted sporty. Lots of gas stops.

I ran out right at 110 miles in bupkis Arkansas. I thought I was saved when I came across this gas station..................that had been closed for many years. I ran out about 10 miles later.

As far as limit on the butt? With the stock seat? The end of my driveway But with a mustang seat, sheepskin seat cover and padded bicycle shorts, 1000 mile Iron Butt and I was still smiling

I'll have a springer steal that hopefully will be an improvement over stock but I'm sure I'll still need to duct tape a pillow to it. Now we've got a road king joint our group so he'll be our emergency gas pack mule.

So far, 600 miles in a day. Stock 72 seat (same as 48), lots and lots of gas stops. I wasn't smiling...

sounds do-able, I think your only looking at 350 miles each way.. If you spilt it up in 2 or 3 days & buy those bicycle shorts.
