Default please help, fuel injection??

ok i am wanting to put short shots or diggers on my 08 nightster, also the elbow with open filter element. I am gonna put them on myself. My question is how do i have the air fuel fixed, tuned or remaped, of course the dealer says its gonna cost a ton,&nbsp\\;they say it needs&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; this and that and everything else to make it work. Really guys what is the best way i can do this, i cant seem to find anyone in NC or my area to help me to the fullest. I really have read alot about dealers tryin to screw u and make the money so please help me out, what i need and how much it usually cost. Thanx alot

Default RE: please help, fuel injection??

Well I'd recommend you by a Power Commander III (PCIII) from Jamie at Fuel Moto, www.fuelmoto-usa.com
&nbsp\\;
The software that comes with the tuner allows you to program (remap) your bike at will.&nbsp\\; The software comes with base MAPS for the setup you are looking as well as many others.&nbsp\\; Plus when you order it, tell Jamie what mods you have done (Aircleaner and Exhaust) and he will program it for you.&nbsp\\; I will say that the MAPs the software provides are not always 100% correct for you particular bike and area so you may have to tweak a few number here and there, but Jamie will work with you on this.&nbsp\\; Plus with the PCIII you have the ability to take it to a Dynojet Center and have it dyno tuned and a custom map made for your bike.&nbsp\\; There are several Dynojet centers around the country.&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
The PCIII runs $279
&nbsp\\;
There are several other Programmer out there, but I have experience with the PCIII and enjoyed it

They are called Insomniac Pipes from Pipedreamz www.pipedreamz.biz
&nbsp\\;
Yes you can buy them with the O2 ports, but if you go with the PCIII you do not need them since the O2 sensors are removed
