Default 2006 Sportster Custom

I have a friend who has an 2006 1200 Custom and is asking $9,000. The bike has less than 5k on it and has been serviced only by the Harley shop..is the price high or pretty reasonable.

Too much. Should be no more than about 8,000.
Just google Kelly Blue book and go from there.

Bought an 05 1200 Custom w/4,500 miles on it, Stage 1, V&H straight shots, drag bars, flawless cond. for $6,500 last Spring. Based on this, your friend's asking too much. A good way to compare prices is to check Craig's list for comparable listings. Lot's of bike classifieds. It's how I found my bike.

Some of the asking prices are ridiculous and often reflect an owners desire to get $$ for stuff he's added to the bike. I was advised not to pay extra for the add-on's beyond Stage 1 and maybe suspension upgrades. The rest isn't worth much in trade or for resale.

I just bought an 05 883C with fewer miles for $5500 and it came with $1000+ in accessories.

So are you saying the accessories that have been added to a bike aren't worth anything? Interesting....

I'll jump on this too. I bought my blue and silver 06 1200C from a stealer last year this month. It came with windshield, windshield bag, and back rest for passenger. The odometer read 5200. I paid 7600 out the door for it.
