Default V-H Shortshots

Why doesn't V-H make Shortshots for Sporties before '04.&nbsp\\; Not enough volume, I would guess.
&nbsp\\;
I have a '99 and would really like to get a set if I could make them fit.
&nbsp\\;
Does anybody have knowledge of the difference between the two series ('03 and '04) and how difficult it would be to adapt a set of pipes to the earlier model?
&nbsp\\;
Thanks

Couldn't tell ya, I got em on my '06, probably has something to do witht he old style rubber mounted engine, you could always give them a call and see what it would take to fit a set on. I imagine it has something to do with the mounting bracket.

It's a mounting thing, you should be able to make a mount for them, after all, it's only metal.

Very nicely done, Xlent98. I have forward controls, how difficult is it to move the master cylinder?

Thanks to all for the replies.

Why do I keep getting slashes in my posts?

Sundog wasnt hard made up a bracket which attaches to where the orig holes are and mouted cyl to that also made up new linkage from cyl to brake pedal Steve the orig baffles are loud i also lost some power i now have the quiet baffles and run them without the packing qietened them down a bit and gave me back,,back pressure which i seemed to loose
