Hi, I just bought a 2005 custom, has the 4.5 gallon tank, issue I noticed on ride home is the gas cap cover rattles to the point it is annoying. I looked under the cap and doesn't look like you can tighten it in any way. Is there a fix for it? Thanks!

 

I took a small punch and peened the lip in 4 places,,stopped it completely.

 

do what vincentostapowich said or buy a new one, one day the chrome half will come flying at you on the interstate, happened to me, hurt real bad, felt like being suckerpunched in the gut

 

ahh, thanks, will try the punch, I didn't think it should rattle like that.

 

I used a punch and worked great, nice and solid now, thanks!
