Isn't it on the left side next to the battery behind the triangle plate?

My 96 has 4 fuses, 50 amp, starter relay, etc. under the seat. It is mounted to the cross member by the back of the seat.

My fuses are obvious, but to change my starter relay I have to drill 2 rivets and slide the whole thing up and out. I replaced the rivets with mill tips for easier access.

You should be able to download the owner's manual for your bike from

OK I must be thick as a stump. For the life of me I cannot find the fuse box on my 1996 Sportster 883 bone stock ride. I can and have found, the ignition module, the turn signal module and various connectors but nothing that has any fuses in it. Have pulled everything out from this under seat and side triangle cover that I can find. But anything that has fuses in it escapes me. Have looked as closely as possible to the relays but still no fuse box. This bike, the battery was hooked up backwards and the cables to the battery were reversed. The shop that was supposed to do a "service" returned the bike as they could not get it to start. But according to one of the lads in the shop they put charger on the bike when they hooked up the battery backwards. Then they gave up and returned the bike to me. Removed all that. Purchased new battery and installed correctly. Key on and have lights run signals, starter but no start. Have even checked the coil wires by removing and checking for continuity. All good. Just not getting spark to the plugs. Guidance? Please. Don't want to just start throwing parts at the bike until stumbling on a solution.
