Default No start, fuel pump won't start???

2007 883L, 1200 conversion, PCIII.....

OK, went out this morning to leave for a military funeral escort.....and no start! When I turn the key on, the fuel pump is not starting. Yes, I checked the fuse, it was good, but replaced it with another one anyway. I checked as many connectors as I could, and found none to be loose. Still nothing.
To top it off, my sister has borrowed my trailer, and another buddy borrowed my truck. So I couldn't take it to the shop today anyway. It was going in for a new tire and inspection soon anyway, and figured I'd just let them figure it out.
But now, I'd really like to do it myself if possible, and ride tomorrow in a Toys-for-Tots ride.
So, besides the fuse, and connectors, where else should I look for a problem? I have looked in my owners manual, and the service manual, but can find no good help as far as troubleshooting this problem.
Thanks.

do you have the alarm system? if your key FOB battery is dead... No fuel pump... But I would think you would notice your lights flashing. Will the starter motor run?

No alarm on the bike.
Huh, I got it running last night. Don't know how or why though?? I just kept pushing and pulling connections, and swapping fuses, and finally it started. Oh yea, I also did an old trick from cars....I lightly banged on the bottom of the fuel pump with my flashlight. Funniest thing was, after tapping with my flashlight, the light went out! But then after the engine started....the flashlight came on again!

I think I have gremlins in my garage.....I better go get a bell to hang on the bike!

But, at least the bike was running last night....musta been either a connection or fuse? Just hope it keeps running now!
