Default Quick Question

Hey all, quick question for all the experts. Can someone let me know what the recomended tire pressure is for a spoke rear tire. Is it the 36 to 41 psi that it said in the little booklet that they give you. I'm just curious since it's a tube should the pressure be less or more or what the book says. I have been feeling a little squirlie on some turns, came home and checked the rear tire and it's at 10 psi, it really doesn't look low but it doesn't feel right. Any insight would be much appreciated.

Thanks

I feel like I am being baited here but put some air in your tire before you get hurt. Yes do what the book says.

Feeling a little squirrely? Holy cow, son you should have crashed with your tire at 10 psi. YES...36 PSI.

If you have only 10 lbs of pressure in the rear tire and you didn't let a lot out then I'd start looking for a nail or screw in it somewhere. They would have to sit for years to get the pressure down to only 10lbs. Also check your valve stem as it comes out of the rim. Could be abrated and cracked. To check it hold it to one side then the other and see if you hear air escaping. Just to confirm you can fill it to 36 lbs today and check it tomorrow. If it's not still at 36lbs you have a hole in the tube some where.

Sure does, I should have known something was wrong when my teeth weren't rattling anymore when I went over rough spots in the road.

Lesson learned: check tire pressure regularly. As if I should talk! Mine was down to 15psi the other day. I will practice what I preach! LOL
