Default What is the difference between a 1995 XLH883 and XLH883 Hugger?

I just acquired a 1995 Sportster for my Finace. It is missing a few things. I am trying to put it back into stock condition. I am not familiar with these bikes. It is an XLH883. What is the difference between a 1995 XLH883 and a 1995 XLH883 Hugger?

The hugger is the "low" of the '80's and 90's. Seat/shocks are probably lower.

the seat, shocks, and the bars are different on the hugger. The XLH883 is just a basic sportster.

Not quite sure what you mean by "trying to put it back into stock condition" but let us know. I have stuff laying around from my 99 XLH thatmight work. Personally I don't know anyone who has a "stock" bike

These are the parts I am looking for:

1. Stock Mid Controls (1995-2003 will fit).
2. Front Turn signals (including wiring harness).
3. Speedometer (including wiring harness to plug)
4. Stock handlebars.
5. Stock Horn Cover (forward mount horn).

Well, you can stop looking for "5. Stock Horn Cover (forward mount horn).", as the horn came exposed with no cover.....It's just suppose to look like a black cicular piece up front (in between the downtubes). I have some stock 2000 XLH front & rear signals with wires intact, but no harness as I put the wires from the new signals into the original harness. They are pretty common on Ebay. The mid controls are a little harder to find, (I'm holding onto mine in case my daughter or GF need them->decide to take over my bike, & I get a Street Glide), but can probably be found relatively easy at an Indy's/dealer's pile of take off parts.

As for the XLH vs the XLH883Hugger, as stated previously, the XLH is a standard sporty, and the XLH883 Hugger is the old name for the newer named "Low" model.

I have a set of stock mid controls off of a 95 883 that I will trade you for your forwards if the forwards are Harley's.
