RE: Changing 1200C handlebars
Well, I did have to take the bike back to have them tighten them up a second time.
The first time I took it out for a ride, the bars slid down a little bit.
What they did was to add a few more 'grooves' in the bar to help the clamps grab on better.
So far it feels good. But, If this doesn't work, the dealer will add another tightening bolt through the bar.

RE: Changing 1200C handlebars
My wife have a XL1200c 2007and have the same problem.
I went to my dealer and shesit onDyna low rider FXDL just to see the feeling of the byke.
She's perfect.
So I buy the handle bar 56085-83T (FXDL direct replacement)from my dealer. You don't have to change any cable. The only thing is, the brake line is little bit to tight, so just off set the handle bar to the left and it' s ok.
Also I buy a close seat and a pair of low shock Progressive 412 11 inch.
After that the byke is tuned for her
good luck
