Bike Stays revved even when Throttled Down
So I took the bike out today and everything was fine. All the sudden when I Throttle Down to change gears the bike stayed revved up and wouldn't lower RPMs. Luckily I live close by so I rode home but it did that the rest of the way. So I turned it off and let it sit for a minute and turn it back on and it sounded fine so I gave it a little gas and then it stayed revved and slowly went down. It's an 04 so it has a carburetor but I took it in two months ago to have the slide fixed. So I don't know?

stuck slide
I'm curious what they fixed on the slide of your carb. It sounds like it is hanging up again, and that is why the revs stay up. You can pull the air filter off the carb and watch the slide move up and down as you turn the throttle. See if it is staying open when you release the throttle and then go from there to try and figure out why it isn't going down. As mentioned before sticky cables or broken return spring would be one place to look.

when I got it fixed the first time the spring on the slide wasn't in the nipple like it should have been it was next to it so that was a problem with that. However I started acting up again like revving High so I took it in to the same dealership that fix it the first time. Both mechanics Road it they say for 10 miles and could not figure out anything wrong with it and called me and said it's good to go so I picked it up. I started a ride home and got to the other side of town and it started doing the same thing messing up so once I got home I took it to a different dealership. They called back within an hour and said it was ready the mechanic didn't tighten two screws that were in the carburetor. So the weight of the filter was pulling the carburetor off the manifold and it was causing it to run like that. Ever since then never had a problem with it.
