Default Betst choice? 1200c 2003 Anniversary 100th or 1200C 2005.

Having had my bike damaged Im looking for another bike. Choice is 2003 1200C Anniversary 100th or 1200C 2005. Im concerned as 2003 is priced $13440 AUSTon Road & Not Rubber Mount. Other is 1200C 2005 Rubber Mount @$13900.AUST on Road.. What bike do you think better of the two & reasons why. Both Bikes have approx 6500Kls on Clock..Is the 100th Anniversary Valuable? & Collectable?... Bikes are in Australia...where I live..

Sounds like too much for either of em. Rubber mount takes it though... I've heard that the rubber mount is a big deal. Unless you really like the 100th anni paint, it's really just an 03.

Default Bike Prices in Australia

Sorry Guys! for not stating bikes are in Australia...Yes thank You for answering. I was told the 2003 is at least $2000/2050 TOO expensive! & as for the 2005 1200C No one has commented..Prices in Australia are a bit on Exp side..have a look at www.heavydutymotorcycles.com.au Bikes are in show room condition & normally Low Kls...I forgot to mention the Two Bikes above are in Low 6,500Kls Range. Makes me wonder why the 2003 has Such Low Kls??? Mabee too uncomfortable??

Ok that makes much more sense... I still say the 2005. Any way you can test ride them though? You may find that the 2003 feels solid while the 2005 doesn't or vise versa, and that could make your decision.

Thank You for reply! 2003 is approx 1000k away up north & other is approx 60k away. I still think Aust prices are way Too much! have a look at www.heavydutymotorcycles.com.au bikes are low Kls & in Showroom condition but! someone said they are on Consignment & upped by $3000 to $4000. Great eh??? So looks like my XL883C 2005 was a bit exp last year when I bought it from there it was like $12500? at the time..Then all the extras done would take it up to say $17,500 at least..Im waiting on Quote for Assessor Ins to give Ok to repair. Im looking at places like www.tradingpost.com.au Have a look! at bikes on there.

well besides price, (hope ya get that sortted out)

i really think it depends on what ya wanna do with it. if you plan on not manipulating the frame (cutting it in half for a hard tail or pullin out the engine and putting it in an aftermarket frame) the 03 is the way to go.

every other aspect i would say the 05, new bike, rubber mount, bigger tank, also the 05 was a year after the they switched to rubber mounts so they had the bugs out by then.

Hi! No didn't have any plans except customise with pegs, grips etc etc. Colour looks Ok on 2003 but Not being rubber mount I thought Mmmm! Plus 2003. ..2005 is Black 1200C & plenty of options re add ons etc. Later would put a Mikuni 42 In & Mabee Cam job..Yeah! have to whip the butt off someone who rides a Softail. This time I won't be saying anything on work done..I'll let the bike show the mystery!LOL
