Crooked handlebars 09 Nightster??
Hey fellas and gals, this is one of my first questions, mostly been lurking around, absorbing what I can, but I do have a interesting question regarding my nightster. When im riding perfectly straight my handlebars/top clamp are crooked about 2 degrees to the right. It doesnt sound like much, but if I could measure it while riding it would probably be approx 1/4 inch "in" on the right side. Anyone seen this? Is there any adjustments that would straighten it?
Thanks in advance Jaison |
I have the same thing on my 09 Nightster. Not sure what the fix is.

Last winter I change my risers on my Street Bob and ended up with this situation.
After riding several times and looking at my bars being crooked (during every ride), I loosened up the riser caps and held the bars where it looked like they were straight, then tightened the bolts while holding the bars. It seemed to work well, the handle bars look straight and have stayed that way. easy fix. |
Just loosen the riser bolts, align your bar, then re-tighten.

Cool, thanks guys! Not that it hindered performance, but crooked bars are totally annoying!
Thanks! Jaison |

Ok this is strange, mine are too. To the right as well!
Asked the dealer and he said "I dont see it". But I know its off and has always bugged me a little. Guess I will make them measure it when I take it in for my 2500 mile oil change. |

the right foot peg sticks out further than the left. the bars may be mounted offset to make the bike feel comfortable.
