Default Update on my Iron

Trying to post some pics and updates about my Iron. I've had it for 24 days now and I'm making some progress.
So far I've relocated the front signals using the J&P Cycles kit that I painted black.
Put on some smoked signal lenses with red LED's in the back lights.
Removed the rear reflector under the fender.
Vance and Hines Black Sideshots.
Black Heavy Breather
PC V
Road 6 Customs 8" Apes
Leather fork bag

Still waiting for my black forward controls and fender rack to come in.

Future mods will include removing the front relectors.
Adding some kind of travel bag.
Putting extended wires run internally on.
New front brake line.

Hope these pics work.

Lookin good!
I was looking at putting those same bars on my iron, and am just wondering if you had to replace or extend any of your cables or wires? Front break line?

I didn't extend anything but if I had the money I would have. I plan to extend the brake line this summer and probably run the wires internally this winter. I bent the front brake like by hand to make it work. I did run into a problem of my connectors under the tank coming apart when I pulled a bit too hard. Just be careful when pulling on the wires. Also, if you do go with the Road 6 Bars, make sure when you talk to them you ask for the holes/dimpling to be extended up to the gusseting. I've already spoken to them about this and it would have made my install a lot more straight forward. Over all though, the bars are great and seem to be made very well. I'd buy them for the price before paying for the RSD bars.

Those are some nice looking bags.

Where did you get them?

Thanks....I got 'em from a local shop here in SA, but I think they have a website, it's called "Renegade Classics"...

I set them forward a little.... and they seem to tuck in better instead of outside the shock.
I paid $120.
Their detachable....and have the quick release clips.

A few more pics...

Yeah, lets see some more silver Iron pics! Like the bags. I'm looking for something to strap to the back fender rack when it finally comes in. I must say that I'm not a fan of big saddle bags on the Nightster and Iron's but those actually look pretty good. I like how you moved them forward. If I ever do longer trips (thinking of going to Rolling Thunder next year) I might have to look for some of those. For now though I'm looking for a nylon bag that will be big enough for a spare uniform, rain jacket for work, and some small items. I love the sideshots, just wish my forwards came at the same time so I don't have to take them off to do the forwards in a few weeks. Thanks for the compliments.

Thanks for the reply medic. I may sound like an idiot, but what is gussetting on handlebars? I am unfamilliar with the term.
