Do you guys know if I can add a Vance and Hines fuel pak without adding a high flow air cleaner? I ordered my pipes and my fuel pack today, but I think I should wait to get my air cleaner before I install the fuel pak. Any thoughts?
It is a fuel management system that plugs in to the ECM. It changes/reprograms the fuel/air mixture after you have changed the airflow by adding a high flow air cleaner.
If you go to V&H web site, follow the link to the fuel pack. It will ask you , make, model, year, bla bla bla. When you do put in a hiflo AC. you will have to change the map again. Just to get it in is a real PITA! You have to move around a few clips and wires, but well worth the trouble. You may get a few bloody knuckles. Putting in the numbers is the easy part just follow the directions. Hit it back if you need some help. HOLLYWOOD........

Yeah, I've heard that getting it into position and tucking away the wires was the biggest problem. Can't wait!
So does a fuelpak or power commander etc add horsepower?
You could get a few extra ponys out of the whole stage one...But I'm starting to think I'll just wait until I get the air cleaner. Fuelpak and stock ac wont do a thing for me or the bike
