Default OMG! had no idea what I was gettin in to!

well I needed a back tire (130) and a buddy give me a (150). I ordered a 150 tire kit (offset sprockets) so I could use the 150 that was gave to me. I started by pulling the wheel and tire and proceeded to remove the sprocket cover on the transmission. I ended up removing all the exhaust, rear brake parts which included the linkage and res/lines.
I had no idea I would have to do all that. I have the spockets on I just have to get the tire changed tomorrow.

BTW the rear brakes are a pain in the *** the first time.

Where did you get the 150 kit from? I've been thinking of doing this and my sporty needs a new rear.

I bought the kit off of ebay for about $30 from kc international. after the front sprocket was on and everything was ready for the back wheel, I still ran into problems. nothing major but It just took a little time to figure out the best approach. I had to take the shock bolt's nut off to be able to rotate the chain gaurd up and then I figured out that you have to remove the caliper off of the bracket to fit everything back together.

REMOVE REAR WHEEL ( make sure to take caliper off of bracket ) THEN

1. remove all of the exhaust
2. remove the brake res and disconnect the linkage on the forward controls to get all of that out of the way.
3. take loose the brake line holder on the side cover.
4. remove cover and replace sprocket with the one from kit
5. put all that back on in the order it came off.
6. take rear chain gaurd bolt off (removing the whole thing will be easier)
7. place rear caliper bracket
8. slide wheel into place ( don't forget to put the chain on and the spacer between the sprocket and wheel).
9. get chain adjusted and tighten everything down
10. put brake pads on the bracket then put the caliper on and tighten everything up.
11. double check all the nuts and bolts, be sure to grease the bearings and axle, then bleed the brakes if you need to. I DID lol

should be ready to go. I will post pics on another thread
