Kuryakyn Hypercharger Air cleaner or ?
Looking at getting a after market ( Upgrade) air cleaner to go with a jet kit and new exhaust .
Anyone use a Kuryakyn Hypercharger AC ?
Does it take a special non common filter ?
Should I go with a more repitable AC like K & N ?
Does K & N only make the filters or do they also sell a new AC set up ?
Also what jet kit in your personable appinion is best ?
Thanks......

I just put on a new a/c yesterday...and love it!

Gives a nice hot rod look, shows more of the engine, and "sucks" like a champ!

IMHO the Kuryakyn Hypercharger AC is comprised of too many moving parts serving no practical function. More "hype" than anuthing else. I would look more seriously at the Arlen Ness "Big Sucker", the "Hurricane" (which uses the stock 'Ham Can' cover), or the classic tear-drop S&S AC.

I just installed a Screaming eagle air cleaner yesterday and IMHO I think it works great.Didnt need to but any bracket and for those of you that have oil coming out of the air cleaner this air filter has to pieces that go from the bolts right into the carb to force the oil to be burned. And it has a K&N filter.May not be that fancy looking but to me it works great.

I installed the Kuryakyn last week and the installation is super easy. You hook up a vacuum hose and everything else bolts up.
The bike seems to be breathing much better as the rev limiter is much easier to hit now.
I'm not sure about the availablity of filters, but it seems to be a K&N and they should last forever or at least a "million miles"

I gotta admit, I love the way that Kuryakyn Hypercharger looks. With the exceptiion of the Ness Big Sucker, I don't think there is a better looking AC kit on the market. Just my .02. Kurakyn seems to make good quality products too from what I can tell.....
