Replacing Stock Turn/stop Bulbs with LED
 

Hey All,

I want to replace my stock front and rear signals on my 09 Iron with LED bulbs... Does anyone know the size I need and a great place that I can order them from... Need 2 for the rear (has red stock lenses) and 2 for the front (has smoked Lenses, so I would need Amber Color). Any help/links would be appreciated.... Thanks!!!!!

the bulbs are 1156....these aren't the cheapest out there, but i have never had any issues with the leds i have ordered from here for my car

Hey, Thanks for the reply.. I have a question, I have red lenses in the back, should i get red LED's or White LED's??? Ohh yea, I thought that the signals had the 2 contacts on the bottom, that would make them 1157's correct?? Arn't those the ones that I need???? thanks

factory bulbs are white/clear in the back for the turn signals, so if you are keeping the red lens covers white should be fine

as for the bulb, pull your current bulbs and that will answer your question...if there are 2 contacts it's 1157....for my 06 1200C, my signals in the back are 1156s (single contact, single filament), 1157 up front (dual contacts, dual filaments)

for the iron, with no tail light, i believe you are correct that you need the dual filament 1157 bulbs

I don't know if these are the same quality as reference above but it's good to have other options.

I got the 1156 LED's from Autozone and have had no issue at all. I have the same one's in the rear of my car. I have clear smokes lenes all aroud, but only have LED's in the rear of the bike and they do not blink fast. They did blink fast for the first few uses,but after that it's nomal. I have no idea what would happen if i put LED's in the front too.
