07 Sportster 1200C - installing smaller speedometer

Has anyone done this? I am planning on moving to a smaller speedometer this winter when I switch out my handlebars.

For those who don't know, the custom model in 2007 has the (large) speedometer and indicator lights built into the top riser clamp. It looks like this:

The stock speedo is 3.5'' in diameter (88.9 mm).

So the issues are (1) the speedometer, (2) the top clamp, and (3) the indicator lights.

I am considering two options:

(A) Using this or a similar speedo, which has indicator lights built in, and a plane top clamp.

(B) Using this or a similar speedo, and use my stock indicator lights.

The issue with option (B) is that I need a top clamp with an hole for the stock indicator lights but without the built-in bracket for the speedo. I heard that the 2003 Sporty Custom top clamp meets this description; can anyone confirm? (I tried google but couldn't find a picture.)

The issue with option (A) is the compatibility of the indicator lights. My lights are LEDs. Can anyone give any insight into how this will work, will I need some kind of electrical component to make it compatible?

What about the compatibility of the speedo itself? Anything to worry about? Do I need the 2:1 ratio?

Sent you a pm. I would go with A from first hand knowledge this is the best way to go.
