1972:
* The 61 cid (called a 1000cc) XL replaced the 900.
1986:
* First year of the Evo Sportster
* came in 883 and 1100cc flavors
1988:
* first year for the 1200 (replacing the 1100)

uhh,is the Buell still Sporty powered? I mean if your talking speed with extra power I know I see vids of guys doing wheelies at a 100mph dropping the front wheel & shifting a gear and they are at 160 on ZX-6's like mine :eek My 883C can cruise the hwy 85 all day? How fast you need to go?
