Default question about tranny oil/brake light staying on

hey guys.

just wondering if anyone knew if brand new sporties use synthetic oil/lube for the tranny. just wondering since there was a leak and need to refill it.

also, i was finally able to change my bars to 14" burly apes but the brake light stays on. i opened up the housing and pushed down on the brake light switch and the light went off so i know the switch is still good. anyway to fix it? do i just need to keep readjusting the housing and the brake lever?

thanks!

+1 the tip of the actuator is broken off. A common problem if you don't wedge some cardboard in there before dis-assembly.
