Electrical question 1975 XL Sportster
I am re-wireing a 75 Iron and It originally had a Bosch style regulator. A solid state regulator has taken place and I am re wiring the bike. This is what I have going..
battery positive to starter solenoid terminal 3 another wire off same
terminal is going to small terminal on the starter relay. From the big
terminal on the starter relay it goes back to terminal 2 on the starter
relay. the other big terminal on the starter relay is going to the batt
positive on the solid state regulator. The A and F on the regulator are
going to my A and F terminals on my gernerator. Ignition B terminal is
going to the small terminal on the starter relay. the st and G have a jump
wire and the coil and head lights are wired off the G terminal ..
Thank you i appreciate the help

I am just wondering if that is right? and if not what should i change I just have a headlight, generator, coil, ignition, starter button/key,starter,starter solenoid, starter relay,regulator,battery..and I was wondering where the circuit breaker should go..Thank you..I have read the schematics for hours and now I turned to the few people on the interent for help to make sure. thank you

Sorry, but I can't really picture the entire schematic in my head and tell you it's completely correct or not. It sounds OK, but I wouldn't guarantee it without seeing the wiring and relay contacts.
As for the circuit breaker/master fuse, everything from the Positive battery terminal should pass through the fuse/breaker (probably 30 amp) EXCEPT the large positive cable that runs from the positive battery terminal to the large "Input" lug on the starter relay/solenoid.
Once you get the fuse/breaker installed, the first test step would be to turn on the ignition switch and check to see if the lights work.
Hope that helps.
