Default Parts list for full 48 front end conversion on sporties

Anyone have the parts list for the front end conversion?

Forks, wheel, tire, handlebars, mirrors, mounts, etc?

Your local dealer would be the best too answer that question. They have the stock parts manuals for all of the bikes. They will be able to open that thing up and order everything you need down to every last bolt.

I'm just going to use a Mid Glide triple tree set to use with my 39mm iron fork tubes. Then get yourself a 16in rim and fat tire, you'll be good to go. But don't forget to get the axle conversion with the triple tree set. Most HD 16in rims won't fit with the stock sportster axle. Here are a few pics of it being done on a nightster and some other XL:

One of those is a fat boy low wheel I think....They are both using Wide Glide triple trees which are too big in my opinion. That's why I want to go Mid Glide like this nightster:

But with the fat wheel of course.

Hope his helps....

hi guys,
I know I'm late on this one, but I'm trying to look into the possibility of doing the same thing on an 883. Change the stock triple trees to wider ones - like the last pic that whatwhat posted. Its an iron with a stock rear wheel mounted on the front end. Same stock forks, but different triple trees.
Trying to work out what would fit a wider tyre.
Anyone have any ideas what the trees are on the bike in the last pic?

It's a Vulcan kit... I have their wide glide kit... I must warn you the owner is a piece of SHITaki and if you have any former issues (which are very possible) you will have a very hard time communicating. You may even get cursed off and threatened like he did to me... Good luck

Thanks FlatIron,
I hope not anyways. Did you get a salty response after buying their product?

I've seen the vulcan kits, but all seem to have the same 3 lines of exposed aluminium on them. This bike in the pic has some really clean triple trees. I think maybe they've used a mid glide front end.. not sure. New to all this. Just doing some detective work.
Thanks
