I have had some bikes before,But my first Harley was a 883,after two years it was nice to trade up,but yeah great bike,if you can swing it get a 1200 for the few carrots more..mine was really nice sat for one weekend on the showroom floor,while all the other sportys were outside,that's how nice,should of keeped it.

 

I'm about the same height 5 ft 4 and with the badlander seat - can pretty much flat foot if I stand up --otherwise I ALMOST flat foot LOL .

The 883 is a great bike for backroads and the occasional highway trip. Enough power and speed for almost anything but racing SPORT BIKES LOL
