Default 1200 Conversion

Well, my 1200 conversion came in and is sitting at the HD right now. The only thing that sucks is my Iron is brand new and I haven't taken it past the 500 mile break in period yet so it hasn't seen over 65mph and installing the 1200 I have to granny it for another 500 miles before I can let her rip a little.
Who else has done the Screaming Eagle conversion out there? Tell me my scoot is gonna run like a blistered *** baboon!

I can't afford that yet but I do know that the HD techs are gonna download the right settings to support the SE 1200. I'll have to look at the SERT later.

the s/e 1200 kit is just a std 1200 with a s/e a/filter so they will be able to download a map no probs or change the ecu to a full 1200 ecu..you'll end up with a full 1200 with lower gearing..

My kid has a 93' 883 and recently had the 1200 conversion done. It is like night and day. You are going to love it when it's done...well worth the $$$!!! He had them put on black cylinders so they look great with the heads.

When he got it:

Yeah with that lower gearing,,,you'll smoke a stock 1200 off the line and Up through the gears,,,
But at Interstate speeds sustained The stock 1200 will vibrate less running lower rpms, 3,500 at 75 mph
as oppsoed to your lower gears ,,4,000 at 75 and walk away from ya when ever he wants...

You cleaned her up real nice. Good job tightening those lines up, no doubt.

Everything is a give and take. I could change the sprocket or gears and give her top end, or I could leave her be and keep the grunt. As long as there is no problem maintaining highway speeds I think I'll keep the grunt..

I'm with OSSO on this one, I love the low end grunt with the 883 gearing. While I do hwy riding, most of my trips are 35-50mph on back country roads. My buddy with his Vulcan has troubles keeping up.
