Think you may have missread it Streetfighter06
May have just worded it wrong - the 3.3 is a direct bolt on and can use stock seat...
The 4.5 needs an install kit and a different seat.
Hopefully its clear as mud now.

Actually, still NO. My bike had a 4.5 tank. I installed a 3.3 seat no problem. You guys act like these bikes are SO different - but they are so similar.

So when Harley says you need a different install kit when switching from the 2.1 peanut to the 4.5 they are wrong?

I know the 4.5 will fit on the 48 but the dealer and parts book say you had to purchase a different install kit p/n 62999-07 also need a XL883C/XL1200C Style seat and the 48 requires a seperate purchase of p/n 27067-07a

HD will advertise a "kit" for a lot of things that don't need so called "kits" to work properly. I'm just sayin.........

that was nothing but the wallpaper from hd that I cropped the tank off a Sporty Low and put it on the 48 so it was all stock looking but the tank

But yeah I would want some different bars and the more I look at it I think it doesnt kill the style all that much and wouldnt mind having it like that if I owned one

anytime anyone would want a pic like that to see how something looks with a different part on it let me know and I can most likely photo shop it all I would ask is to supply pics if it isn't something common like the tank I did in this thread

Hey Wardawg, I noticed you had the edge cut front pegs. Did you install a 'standard' clevis set to get them to fit, modify the ship with stupid clevis set on the 48 or modify the pegs?
