Tiny beads of moisture in my primary.

On the 2009 Iron i had the tech told me they were a tiny trace of moisture in my primary. He says he see this sometimes but never told me how often or why. My bikes are kept inside a locked building but they dont have climate control. Ive noticed my yamahas shot glass gets foggy during cold weather too. Is the moisture in the sporty more than likely sweat from temp changes? I dont ride in the rain with my HD but i do with the other bikes i have. I dont have the 2009 Iron but when i take my 2010 Iron in im hoping it dont have this issue.

how far do you ride your bike?

I have never seen this on my bikes, but I have seen the fog in the sight glass on some bikes. I mean if the bikes gets cold then warm it can happen. My garage is not heated and in the winter when we have a warm day I can lift the cover and see the condensation all over the chrome.

its possible there was moisture in the lubricant. or the lubricant was installed during a time of high humidity.

short rides allow condensation to build up in crank cases, but i don't think the primary is vented so its not likely to operate in the same manner.

if you see it again, you might wait for a day with low humidity to take the inspection cover off for a few hours.

I agree with what he said. Yeah as far as I know the primary is not vented. I guess just wait and see how it goes on the new bike.
