Default Fenderless lighting options

I'm planning on removing the rear fender, or at the very least chopping it. Are there any elegant options for the tail light/turn signals?

Pretty sure in my province I'm legally required to have turn signals, which sucks.

Yes, throw your turn signals in a box and hide them in your attic. Your index and middle fingers make great aftermarket hand signals.

Second, buy a badass Model A side mount plate w/ brakelight.

Third, open a beer.

Fourth, repeat step three until you have a HUGE buzz.

Haha! This has been a common problem on the boards lately (moving one post above the other).

There are many kits out on the market that mount your turn signals onto your shock mounts. However, that is if you just "chop" the rear fender. If you plan on throwing the whole fender out, I would try looking into LED lights that you could solder onto the frame and use as turn signals. For instance, something like this: http://www.radiantz.com/cart/index1.html?c6.html&1

Have you also done away with your horn? I am fondly attached to all my little gadgets. lol

Seriously, though, how does going without the rear fender go? Going without the front seems almost commonplace. But the rear is very unique. I'm almost afraid if I went without my rear fender, an incident may occur that may negate the need of moist towelettes for some time...

Nah man, still got the horn. As for the back fender?.... removing it really doesn't do anything but look cool. I don't ride in the rain, my shirt tail is far away from the tire - there is really NO danger at all.

I could see doing this on the softail, but the sporty...no way. Going rigid isn't really my thing. Is that what you ended up doing? Looks good, but I at least like a moderate amount of comfort. lol

(I actually think this is more of a sportster thing...I can't imagine my crossbones rocking that look very well...)

The LED light bar looks interesting. If I got pulled for not having proper signals, is that usually just a fix it ticket?
