Default Here’s another 1200s owner!

This is my ‘96 1200s, although she’s been modified enough that you almost couldn’t tell lol Love this bike!

It goes surprisingly far for cleaning up the look and de-chroming!

I would like to get black forks. Hard part is finding a set for dual discs without having to do too much modification. I will probably just paint the forks I have now.

DK tank lift and wire tuck is happening this weekend.

I really like your black pipes, I don't see many with those. wouldn't mind having some I could swap out now and again.

I really like them as well. If they were chrome, I would probably be looking for an aftermarket replacement. But, for now at least, I will keep them as is.

A question for the group:
The pipes say "Screaming Eagle II" on them. Does this mean they are the coveted Screaming Eagle II slip ons that are discussed on here? Did all "S" models come with these? In my reading on the "S" models I did not see this as a standard option.

Mine had the SEIIs on it when I bought it. It seems like many others I see also have them, but I don't think they came that way originally. I like how they look and sound.

I'm in the same boat. They'll stay for a while, I suppose...

Got my lowering kit on but not without a struggle....

Trust me when I say this, jack the back end up when you are doing this mod! It makes it much, much easier and less time consuming.

It's also amazing how much of a difference lowering 1" makes when it comes to aesthetics and riding position. I feel much lower to the ground on the bike and the bars feel much higher, which I like.

I was able to get out and ride for 30 minutes last night. Virginia weather seems to want to cooperate for the next few days. Just need one more big rain storm to was away the salt and sand they use for snow.

Still need to get the tank lift on. Maybe this Friday night/weekend.

Anyways, here's another picture. Excuse the mess in the garage.

I hate to admit it, but that looks good. I'm still not messing with mine though... unless an old 883R 2 into 1 exhaust system falls into my lap. I really liked that look.
