Nice review. I'm really thinking about getting them for my 1200C. Ir runs good now and have the AC and slip on's, but I don't think there is any type of fuel tuning on it and I got it used at a metric dealer so they did not know. I know there is no fuelpak or PC on it so unless it had a race tuner for it that I don't have it could ne stock tunning.

My local dealer was running a 'special' on the SE race tuner and dyno for $695. So that is what I based my 'tuing' number off of.

Info for EFI bikes only:::::::

FACTORY AFR Is EPA compliant at 14.7
An HD re-map will NOT change the AFR at cruise speeds(closed Loop),
only on acceleration.
They cannot do this or the EPA will have em for lunch with fines.

The X14ieD will let you run BOTH a Hi flow air filter AND ,,,,,
AND BAFFLED after market pipes like V&H and Rush or SE slip ons.
For Instance a SE Stage one Air breather and Rush slip ons with
UP TO 1.75" baffles.
2" baffles and up are getting close to straight pipe restriction levels and
Now you are entering the world of the Power commamders, Fuel pac's and
Master Tune systems.
The X14ieD does nothing for fuel tables,,

IMO If i was spending that much i would go with a tuner that has auto tune feature ie: PCV,TTS,or TMax. with those you dont have to go back to the dealer every time you want to make mods/changes and thus save $/trip

Before getting my ViED’s in, I really didn’t know what I was getting myself into until I started the install. I discovered that it was super easy but this may help some who are on the fence about buying them.

Here is my account of the install.

I went to the cooler and opened a St. Arnold’s Stout. I then opend the package and headed to the garage. There are two plug and play devices and the first one is located behind the battery cover here. Just pop it loose from the top and it swings down.

Behind the cover, you will need to fish out the O2 sensor wires with the quick connect plug here.

Now, take your ViED/XiED and plug it in between the factory plug, making sure they snap tight and you are done with the first one.

Next, Find the same O2 wire plug on the front of the bike here.

You will need to remove the factory wire clap and follow the same steps and you are done...not even a 1 beer install

Sweet, thanks man. Can i ask where you got your stuff at and P/N's?

Default Xied / Vied difference?

Sorry, Noob question again...what is the difference between X14ied and Vied? I am about to do some googleresearch, but just thinking somebody here probably already knows.

Nevermind....i just found it on nightrider....V is variable. Looks like it has a little screw that allows you to adjust it. I don't think i want to mess with that do I?

I am just planning on adding aftermarker air cleaner. Nothing special.

Right, the ViED is an adjustable Xied. You can set your A/F ratio.

I am glad I got the ViED. I ran it at 14.3 with just the pipes and then kicked it up to 14.0 with the air cleaner. I am going to try that a while and then maybe try 13.8 (richer) and see. After a couple of weeks or so at 14.0 (this is what the XiED is set to), I am going to pull a plug and read it.

Yeah, sorry, I misquoted the XiED AF. I meant the X14ieD. Thanks Osco.
