1999 1200C bigger tank
 

I am still looking for a bigger tank to replace the peanut tank. I've heard about fat bob tanks and fenders bolting right onto the sportster? Can anyone confirm this? Can anyone point me in the right direction to a bigger-than-peanut-tank that will bolt on WITHOUT having to treat and paint a crude metal product???

I am pretty sure that you will have to do body work and paint any tank you get unless you buy it direct from Harley Davidson. I called them about a tank and for a custom style tank it was $800. So I ended up buying a Bikers Choice tank and having my whole bike custom painted. I have less than $800 in everything including the paint and tank.

My bike is an 04 but most tanks are a direct bolt on.
