Default Slight fuel leak at/near petcock?

First off I hope spring is 'springing' for everyone on here!! Sure is here in the mid-Atlantic!

I tried to ride mine every time the weather was dry here in Richmond, VA through the winter. I noticed yesterday when I was taking my bike out of the garage that there was a bit of a brown stain on the left hand primary cover. This may have been there before in the fall but I just noticed it. Upon further exam while the bike was warming up, there was also a bit of gas on the choke **** as well as the bottom of the diaphragm on the petcock and down the fuel line to the carb as well as the vacuum line? The bike is an '06 883, are these known for developing a leaky petcock? Thanks!

The vacuum diaphram probably has a hole in it. Replace the whole petcock. There is no repair kit for them. I think they are around $30-$35 at the dealer.

There is an "O" ring seal that can leak. It's cheep and easy to replace.

The o-ring is between the petcock and the tank and it is a square o-ring (or thick rubber washer)

I've included a few pic here. Remove the 2 front screws and pull the switch part away from the back. It may need some persuasion from flat screwdriver. In side you will find a thin O ring seal. You should be able find a replacement at an auto parts store or an industrial supplier.
