If you're interest you can use a Dyna diamond black brake pedal pad on your 48.
You just have to drill a hole in your pedal pad and bolt the black diamond one on.
Pretty easy to do and completes the black diamond look.

Here's an older pic of my bike so you get an idea of what it looks like.

I really like the tractor seat, looks like it belongs on your scooter. A local dealer had one set up similar to yours, it had the HD metalflake gold tank and wide whitewalls. Sweet.

1/4 to 1/3 of full travel, lower frame rails level,,while yer on the bike.

I added just 3/4" front preload, 3/4" sedule 40 PVC pipe,,, a perfect fit.
It leveled my chassis up, corrected my sag, and vastly Improved
the ride.
Note: I went with 20 wt fork Oil,,,that was fine for Florida's Hot HOT
summer, got a bit stiff come fall.
changed to 10 wt,,much better now,,BUT always a BUT
I need an extra 1/4" more preload I think,,,

Mr. mparrish: Well being overseas is not that easy getting all the info you guys can get in US. That being the case, I hate to nag you, but I still have few more questions in regards to you upgrades etc. Since I also have the black HD solo seat, licks solo bag , oil temp gauge, V & H black short shots, fuel max, HD stage 1 breather kit, and eagle orange plug wires and spark plugs, oil cooler kit. Soon to come the eagle performance clutch, national flyscreen. So following along those dark custom lines my next step would be the Diamond black series pegs, drag bar & cables & braidedlines. Question;

Except for the drag bar which is a stock part #, are all these 3 part #s stock HD parts (throtle cables, clucth cable, front brake lines), are they custom cut lengths or strait off the regular stock HD parts catalog and when you talk about relocating the front turn signals to the lower triple tree, was that a strait swap fix, with the torx round head bolts? etc.

Thank you, cheers,

Cool project 48 sportster overseas version

Mr. mparrish 2010

Hope you got it in blue light, I got my dakota digital gauge and national fly screen from J & P cycle last Friday. The spark plugs are the screamin eagle # 32192-10 and the performance clutch # 38002-04. Today I ordered the drag bar and the 3 cables with the part #s you posted . This coming week I should get my set of black burly slammer rear shocks 10.5", 2" tank riser kit, the dark custom derby collection covers and the joker machine retro black rubber grips. My tank is silver, so I want to maybe get rid of the sportster lettering and do a custom 1 dark checker flag over the silver back ground. So after this, I am about done, and will post pictures of my finished project 48 and then move on to my Dyna street bob project.

thanks, cheers
