Slow cranking only in warm weather.

Slow cranking only in warm weather.
Ok, I forgot about this issue since it did not happen during my winter riding.
It started mid summer last year. When I start my bike in the morning it cranks fine.
After riding and getting the engine hot, if I shut it down and restart it cranks over
(what seems like one rev) once pauses for about a second then continues to crank
fine and startup fast. Was the engine is cool and I start it, like after work, It cranks
just fine. It just did this yesterday since we had 90 degree weather. But like I said
before, it didn't do this during the winter. My battery is reaching 12 months and
since it started happening three months after buying it and it doesn't do it during
the winter months, I was thinking that it's not the battery not constant. I don't
know, what do y'all think? Is there any other component that can be affected
like this in warmer weather?

I think this applies,,,Volt check It while starting.
This Lesson comes from an 8 month old battery that started behaving like my original
In my 2008 1200R.
The Bike would start But that first engine roll over was slow. Sounded like I had some
super hi compression setup
Battery,,,8 months old HD AGM Mat,,,Has lived on the tender,,750ma
The HD AGM Mat batteries are very good compaired to most out there.
All makes have a rate of failure even $200 dollar models..
Bike riddin most weekends..
I Used my home made Kit analog meter and My Home made Kit Digital Vom.
(accuracy of the analog,,,+- 5% give er take)
Resting off tender for three days,
Analog 12.5VDC
Digital 12.75VDC
Key On,,lights n all,
Analog 12.0
Digital 12.35
While cranking:
7.0 VDC
Ok the above Battery passed a load test.
Got ahold of my "trusted" HD wrench at HD..This Guy Is a Sporty guru.
He retested, It passed a second load test,,,He stuck It In a sporty,,,FAILED,,7.0 VDC during start up
while slow starting.
New HD AGM Mat battery
Still out of the bike:
analog 12.5VDC
Digital 13.02VDC,,,Odd I know
Key On:
analog 12.0
Digital 12.35
While Cranking
analog 10.0
Digital 10.5
My Wrench said a out of bike load test cannot simulate an In bike crank completly.
BTW the Bike spins up Kick *** now
The Game Is how fast I can Bump the start button,
One revolution Is all It takes,XD
During cranking the battery should remain above 10 Volts
A partially shorted plate I musta had,,
It would have left me stranded in the near future,,
Here endeth the Lesson.

Well, I have somewhere to start. Thanks Von Zipper I'll check it out when I get home.
I will also check my battery. I read your post earlier Osco and thought I could try it.
It was just strange how it does it when it's hot outside and not cold.
Thanks for the advice, I'll let you know what I find.
