Default Right rear turn signal issue ("Run" not working)

Kinda weird. I remember this happening once before but it just seemed to go away and never return. when i turn the key to start the bike, the rt. rear turn sig. doesn't light up at all but the left one does. if i step on the rear brake pedal it lights up, if i push my rt. turn sig.button it flashes, then goes back off. if i grab the front brake it lights up. so it just seems like the run part of the light isn't working. here's the kinda weird part, i noticed that if i jiggle my front brake lever the run mode kicks in and the turn signal lights up. i'm guessing there's a sensor in the control housing on the bars that's the could be the problem? if so how do i fix it and what am i looking for?

Did you check the bulb? It is a dual filiment bulb. one could be burned out. Also check that small push button switch behind the brake lever, it may be broken off.

when i had a similar problem before i actually started a thread on it but symptoms were a little diff. then. i looked back on that thread and some people were mentioning the switch behind the lever. i can't see any switch back there and resolution before only involved loosening the switch housing and tightening again. might as well just get some new bulbs if they're only a few bucks before i take my lever apart so thanks guys!

Two filament bulbs need to wires and the ground to work properly. If the ground is missing weird things start to happen. If you look at the bulb you see two filaments have one common point, i.e. they are connected. When ground is missing they become one filament (two filaments connected in series) and can still light up under certain circumstances.
In short, make sure that bulb gets proper ground.
