Default Hard Wiring Brake Light

Chopped my rear fender and trying to find the easiest way to add my new LED brake light. I'm keeping the stock turn signals so I just need to wire up the new light. If I want to by pass the circuit board all together do I just cut off the connectors, match up the colored wires and maybe use some posi lock connectors to connect them?

Any other suggestions on what options I have would be great too. I've completely re-done my bike and this is my last thing I have left to do.

Thanks,
DFsporty

When I did mine I used the turn/run/brake module, I'm not sure if the circut board actully does anything other than act as a junction point.
You should be able to check with a multi meter and solder the connections.

lol..beer is open. I have 2 wires on new light, red and black. I want the light to be running and brake. I purchased a dual element circuit that would make it 3 wires, red, black and orange.

Forget the new board you got. Cut the ends off your old plugs running to your old circuit board. You don't need the board any longer.

Try connecting your new light's BLACK wire to your sportster's BLUE taillight wire.

Then connect your new light's RED wire to your sportster's RED taillight wire that has a YELLOW stripe and lemme know what happens....

It's been a long time since I messed with my circuit board - 3 years. Do the turn signals plug in there too? If so, just hard wire all three lights.

The wire you're referring to is a blinker wire I think.
