Side stand is good. I've used that term a lot too. Of course, with the dissapearance of the center stand on motorycles (except for the Royal Enfields, which come stock with one still), one could almsot just call it the "stand". Too bad about centerstands. My 2007 Royal Enfield has a centerstand only and has never been at a dissadvantage because of it. It makes maintenance lots easier. Pulling wheels, lubing chains and adjusting, etc, etc.
