Burly Brand slammer kit vs Licks lowering shocks

I got a 2011 forty eight and im looking to lower it. The 2 brands i have seen are licks and burly brand, just wanted to see if anyone has used them on a sportster and which one you guys would recomend

I'm planning on going with Burly, for no real reason other than I like the brand.
I know that some people here have used the Lick's though.

I cant give any insight to the licks shocks. But i have the burly rear shocks and im pretty happy with them. No worse ride then stock aside from the occasional bottom out riding hard 2 up. They look good and are reasonably priced. Install was very simple also.

I have the Licks 10" 2G shocks. They are stiff, but I like them. I like that they are all black and look more old school than the Burly's. Not mocking the Burly's because they have quality stuff. I just like the looks of the Licks better. Plus I buy lots of stuff from them!

I have the burly's, no info on the licks. I personally do not find them anymore harsh than the stock shocks. I've read good things about both shocks. I ended up going with the burly's based on the fact that i liked the looks a little better. I do not ride two up and weigh 160 so I haven't had any issues bottoming out other than one pot hole that would have bottomed out the stock ones as well. Overall I'm happy with my decision.

is it that big of a deal to bottom out? I mean, my ass can handle it every now and then, but I don't wanna damage my bike

I'm thinking the Lick's for my 72 as of now

That looks like a nice finish.

Someone earlier mentioned that they went with Lick's because it was all black, but I'm pretty sure that Burly has an all black Slammer.

I have the burlys in all black. I like the look, they are stiff but its still better than struts.
