Which gas?

It seems most on this board run high octane gas. My question is do you use a specific brand-at every fill up. Shell? Marathon? BP? Etc.. Why? Bad/Good experiences?

I use the highest octane. In my area that is 92. A FEW times I've used 89 because there wasn't a gas station near by with premium. Every time the bike has run like shit until I got the 89 out.

I use Shell, I've had bad luck with some other brands. However, it seems to be a station-by-station thing, as I've heard from others who've had bad luck with Shell.

It's all good. After only putting premium in it for years, thinking whats a few dimes matter, actually found it runs better and gets a few more mpg on mid grade. Forum taught me this. I'm the kind of driver that does not hammer the throttle wide open either though and it's pretty much stock except the SE filter and cam cover badge.

I go everywhere. Gas is gas. Never had a prob. Manual says to run 87 in 883's. That's what I use. Why buy better and waste the cash?

EFI 883's are spec'd for 91+. If in doubt, read your Owners Manual,

.

I use 93 from BP in my bike. I use BP exclsively in all of my vehicles, bikes, boats, mowers, etc..... it just burns cleaner with less carbon than any other brand. Its actually the old amoco blend formula that BP kept using after it bought out amoco.

I just get the 92 or 93 octane, get from murphy usa, pilot and a mom and pop store in the tiny town I live in. feul from any where else seems to not last as long or im just crazy.

No particular brand comes to mind...wherever I can get anything 91+ works.

Mine is not EFI. I run 87. NO DIFFERENCE. Gas and vehicle makers are like the government. Corrupt. I bet Corvettes can run fine off 87, but are specified to run at 91 or 93 because GM got a paycheck from Shell, BP, Chevron, etc to specify false propaganda.
