im curious about this sportster specifically

if anyone can see that photo.. thats pretty much what i would like to do, im curious if thats a stock frame of a specific year, or something custom?

i watched a video on that bike being made..its basically a stock late 80's xl883 sportster with a few accessories.longer shocks and fork tubes, brackets were made to drop the swingarm 2"-3" with out modding the frame, knobby tires and a super trap exhaust..he made it so it could be put back to a reg street bike by just putting the original shocks and tires back on

yeah.. thats what i want, to raise it a bit, get some dual-sport shocks under it and some dual sport tires so i can drive it on road and off.. it would be perfect.. so its a late 80s xl883? can anyone else confirm it?

actually.. looking at a stock late 80s sportster, it looks like similar modifications could be make to any of them, even the new ones, something ill have to think about

Start with the XR1200 and you'd be closer than with any other sportster.

well, with the XR1200 bikes i can see why harley felt the need to no longer produce the buell brand, but... i think the bike in the photo looks a lot better than the XR1200... the superlow they make now is about 30lbs lighter which is a good thing

Looks ? Oh, I was thinking more about twin disks up front and a fully adjustable suspension.
