Default Windshield for use with Auxiliary lighting?

Last fall I picked up a very nice used '09 XL1200C and wanted some more light up front, so I also bought the HD Auxiliary lighting kit.

Looking through the official HD parts and accessories catalog, it seems they only sell one windshield that fits a Sportster with this lighting kit.

I'n curious if anyone who has this lighting kit has found any non HD windshields that fit.

The one HD sells doesn't look bad (at least in the catalog) but it is nice to have choices.

It will be nice if some photo's are included as I would like to see this also as the next addition to my bike...I have the windshield and now need the lighting.

Did the same for my 03 Lowrider. Only one I could find was the one from HD. Bought it and sold the original on Ebay

So how do you like the HD one?
Have any pictures of it installed?

VERY nice pictures - thank you!

Pretty much removed any hesitation I had about ordering that windshield.

Is that a Mustang replacement seat - if not - who made it - it looks VERY nice.

I assume the engine guard / crash bar is non-HD as well? Who makes it?

Default Why not xl1200c?

The HD detachable windshield for bikes with auxilliary lights (there appears to be only one) in the description says "Fits '88-later XL (except XL1200X, '11 XL883L and XL1200C)" but wanabe seems to have it on his Custom. Anyone know the scoop on this?

The 2011 XL1200C has a fat tire front end with a mid-glide fork arrangement (triple clamps are wider). Shouldn't be an issue for an '08.
