4.5 gallon tank on a Nightster
#31
So in keeping with the theme, my 2011 Nightster WILL accept a same year 1200C or Low's 4.5 gallon tank with no fitment issues? I am wanting to get rid of my 3.3 and get the 4.5 myself. Up to what year gas tank will my Nightster accept without it not being bolt on?
Thanks in advance.

On my 48 I put a 3.3 gallon tank on, and then 2 4.5 gal tanks on. As long as your bike is an EFI you can put any other EFI tank on it. You can use the same fuel pump. The only thing I buy new when I've changed it is the gasket - and that's just personal preference.
I do a lot of riding in rural areas. I love the look of my original 2.2 gal peanut tank, but I love not worrying about running out of gas with my 4.5 gallon tank.
The only think you will have to change is the seat. Make sure its for a 4.5 gallon tank.
