1988 1200 sportster AMF parts??
I had a mechanic come by and pick up my 1200 88 sportster for service he told me it was pre AMF I thought after 81 AMF was no longer being placed on Harleys?? so whats true or not true?

Maybe he said/meant post AMF? If not, I'd be looking for a different mechanic, quickly.

theres nothing AMF about my bike AMF was out of the picture in 81 so why would mine have anything to do with AMF? I know my 88 was the first year Harley introduced the 1200 EVO replacing the 1100 I called the Harley shop and they laughed they said the same thing so whats this POST mean???

AMF owned the major stake in H-D from 1969 to 1981 when they sold it back to some execs. Not sure what your bike would have to do with that as it is no where near AMF-era.
Generally the AMF era bikes are considered sub-par and had a bad reputation for quality. |
