After you oil the filter, you may still have to adjust the fuel a bit.
I did on mine.
appreciated

I can pick up a spray at a local autozone/autoparts right? Or do i specifically need the K&N one?

K&Ns come pre-oiled. unless something has changed?
yeah, you can get the cleaner and the re-oil spray at napa, autozone, walmart..etc.

Your other issue is that the bike is now running a bit lean due to the freer flowing filter.
Your first step is to see if you can adjust it out by opening the mixture screw some. If you get out over 3.5 turns on the screw from it's closed position, then you need to go up one size on the pilot (slow) jet and the go back and do the adjust on the screw again.

If the bike ran OK before the filter change, there is no reason to believe at this point that you need anything more than a mixture adjustment.
