I'm looking at the Bikers Choice rear rack for my 09 XL1200L. I have a 2up seat that I really like but need a spot for my small tail pack (is currently sitting on the passenger seat).

The one I'm referring to appears to mount to the rear seat fender mount bolt and each side of the lower license tag bracket. I can't find any reviews on this thing like how well it is made or how well it fits.

Does anyone have any experience with this or even something like it? I do have the quick release mounting lugs on there but the only racks I've seen that use them are build into a rear seat rest and I don't want that, just the rack.

No help as far as that rack goes, but some other alternatives would be getting a solo seat and adding a rack that goes in place of the passenger seat, or getting a sissy bar and attaching a luggage rack to that.
