Default 2011 Sportster 883 superlow highway speed

Hi Everyone!

Do you have a 2011 Sportster 883 Superlow?
Can this bike handle 120km/hr cruising speed if the bike is stock?

I will commute daily and on average the cars travel at 120km/hr on our highway so i would like to be able to go with the traffic speed.

I believe 120km/hr is about 75miles/hr.

Thank you for your input.

It will handle it no problem.

I run my 883L for hours at a time between 70-80 mph (115-130 kph) all the time. Got over 20k on the clock and runs better than the day I got it.

Have fun!

Used to have a Virago 535 (ya ya...don't laugh) and it had no problem doing 75. I'm sure a HD 883 will be just fine. Believe me, if it couldn't get up and go on the highway no one would buy it.

An 883 could run at 80 all day with no ill effects.

120km/h on an 883 is just before the vibration starts.
and will run all day and night long without any problems with lots of torque in spare.
(will go all the way up to 165)

Early days on mine, but it whizzes along and I am more than happy with that. It will handle travelling much quicker IMHO. I have a qd windshield, which makes life more comfortable, however the suspension leaves a lot to be desired. I've just replaced the shocks with longer Hagons and plan having the forks upgraded soon. Riding around with little more than an inch of travel both ends is not much fun, however fast you go!
