Default xr1200x caliper on a forty eight

hello everybody ! that's donne ! i've installed my xr caliper during this winter ! it look's great but i think changing the master cylinder will add some brake feeling

look's good!

Nice upgrade, they really should have double disks on the front of all bikes.

you're right ! it'll be better!!!! and i want to do it asap i can ! i've Bought the right caliper too, because the saler don't want to sale me just one 😂 two caliper for 150 euro = 180 dollars us. good deal ! now i'm locking for a 1200s right botom fork for install it ( i's some tig welding to do, for adapt the original mudgard ) . and i need to change also the master cylinder... it's never finished ! ( sorry for my english ... i'm still french 😂👍&#129304

Did you mean to say "s" (1200s)? ... Maybe you meant "r" ?

Dont forget, the wheel hub is not set up for a second disc either, so
you'll have to address that issue too.

yes but i'ts not impossible the hub is strictly symmetrical . that' the reason Why i just need drill and hole for the disc ( when i said drill it'with the proper machine and "tap" it after( i dont know if it's the good word)) . on the forty it's the same distance between right and left fork from the hub .

The general term is tap drill and tap. The tap drill general is just slightly larger then the minor diameter of the tap. There are charts that call out it's size.
.Big issue wold be caliper mount wouldn't it?

no , because i start with the botom fork of a 1200r i already have the caliper mount on it 😉 i just have to weld the original fork stiffener mount 😉 . thank you for your explanation ! i know how to tap and drill , 😉 but i'am bad in english so i don't know if i use the good word ...👍 ( remember i'm french &#127866
