Awesome post parabellum. This is going to be one of my winter projects and will definitely be referencing this. Already planned on purchasing the DK Custom kit too.

Kevin, do you sell a 1.5" tank lift? I don't remember seeing one on the site. I'll have to look again. I want to lift my tank but having the small 2.2 on my 48 I don't want to lose what little distance I already get.

Hey Parabellum, this thread was incredibly helpful for me today when I did the relocation on my nightster. I had a few tweaks since I have the speedo on the left side, and I also had a 1.5 inch lift so I went under the tank. Either way, thanks a bunch for posting. It helped!

Great write up.

I think I will be putting this on my "To Do" list, the price seems reasonable for the kits. My one question is what to do with my horn since I have the cowbell. DK sells a black replacement but does not illustrate were it is placed?

Great write up I'll be doing this soon. I'm with TheGarbon where does the horn go for relocation?

It goes right between the downtubes in front of the front cylinder. This is the stock location for horns on all the sportys in recent years except the Custom and Roadster.

Is there another option for mounting the horn on a 2007 Custom? I have the cowbell too and I want to remove that and relocate it or just put one of your horn kits when I order my key/coil relocate kit...
