Badlander seat

Yes it will work. I have a stock seat form a 2009 C on my 2007 XL50 and I have the 3.3 tank. They fit nice and give the gap between the front of the seat and the rear of the tank like the stock nightster seat does. I have tried to put a seat from a 3.3 tank on a bike with the 4.5 tank and that did not work. I'm sure if I would have pushed harder I could have got the front mounting tab to seat in, but I did not want to mess up the seat or the tank so I gave up-it was just to see is it worked anyways.
The badlander seat is not bad looking on the parts counter, but when installed on a bike it's not good at all. My dealer let me try one on my bike and it looked ok, but no better than the stock 2-up seat and felt like I was sitting on a board. Like was said it does make you hit up higher as well and on a Sporty that is not good IMO. I say if you need a cheap 2-up seat look for a stock seat off a 2007 and up 883 or 1200 C. They look good and are comfortable.
