Default Bell Revolver............. MY 1st impressions

***EDITED*** Please Re-read***Got my Bell Revolver helmet from FedEx today. I did this review prior to riding w/it. Just got back from a ride. ***This is, BY FAR, the loudest helmet I've ever worn. Above 25 MPH I couldn't even hear my pipes anymore due to the wind noise. Above 50 it was like someone screaming in my ear. I just emailed the vendor I got it from to see about a refund******** 1st impressions:

(scale of 1 to 10)
PAINT: I got matte black. Paint seems of good quality. 10

FIT: I ordered a medium due to their sizing chart. Fit is snug but not uncomfortable. 9

FACESHIELD: Positive clicks. Quality plastic. Could be a little thicker. 8

INTERIOR SUN VISOR: Doesn't drop low enough. Not anywhere near dark enough. Seems flimsy. 6

FLIP UP FACE: Locks well in the up and down position. It's good but I'm not blown away by it. 9

INTERIOR PADDING: A lot more abrasive/rougher than my ICON and the padding seems to be really rigid. 6

VENTS: Face vent locks good but the vents on top don't lock open OR closed. 7

STRAP: No padding on the chin area of the strap. Doesn't have a snap to hold strap but does have a magnet. IDK how well the magnet is going to hold. Time will tell. 7

**UPDATE** OVERALL FIT & FINISH: I'm happy w/the fit & finish. BUT the amount of wind noise is unacceptable. I'm asking for a refund(probably won't get it). I had an ICON Airframe & a $100 HJC to compare this to. It was EASILY 3 times as loud as the ICON & twice as loud as the HJC. I think the main source of noise is due to the being no foam between the styrafoam shell & your ear so a communication device can be put in there. I think the level of wind noise is total **** & I can't even believe a company would sell a helmet that is this damn loud.

Hope this helps!

just a suggestion but actually use the product next time before you write a review. I can place a donut over a used tampon and make it look delicious until you take that yummy first bite.

I ordered one a few days ago, M Flatblack like yours. I'm not a modular type person, but I like the helmet in general.

I put an update in the OP after riding in it. It seems like a good helmet but the level of wind noise is absolutely unacceptable.

The RS-1 and Star are far superior helmets to the Revolver. Was the flip-up a requirement for you? If not, get a Star or RS-1.
